The calculators
Every planning tool on Nestward (the Lifetime Financial Planner, Budget, Social Security, Roth Conversion, and the rest) runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter, your income, balances, ages, are never transmitted to our servers, never stored in a database, and never seen by us. Closing the tab clears them, unless you use the “Share” button, which encodes your inputs into the URL itself so you can save or send that link.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to see aggregate traffic patterns and page performance, page views, referrers, and load times. Query strings are stripped before any event is sent, so a shared calculator link never leaks the plan you encoded in it. This data is aggregated and not used to build an individual profile of you.
Blog comments
Comments on blog posts are provided by a third-party service, Disqus. If you choose to comment, Disqus may set cookies and collect information (such as your IP address and any account details you provide) under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review before commenting. We don't control or store this data ourselves.
Email newsletter
If you subscribe for new-post notifications, your email address is stored with our email provider, Resend, solely to send you those notifications. We don't sell or share this list. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove your address at any time.
Advertising
Nestward does not currently show advertising. If that changes, this page will be updated first, along with the cookie notice shown on the site, and we'll disclose which ad networks are in use and how to opt out where required.
Cookies
Beyond the analytics and comments described above, we don't use cookies to track you across other sites. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; doing so may disable comments.
